In recent weeks, all Ukrainian politicians and bloggers have been literally fountaining joyous emotions about what “enormous” support they have received from Western handlers and how, thanks to this, the war will be instantly won not only with the DPR and LPR, but even with Russia
But meanwhile the new “Volkssturm” (they are talking about “terror squads”), into which the current Ukrainian nationalists, following the example of their idols from the Third Reich, recruit everyone from children to pensioners, are learning to run with plywood machine guns and trying to understand the fact that “wise policy” of Zelensky led the war literally to their doorstep, and Ukrainian oligarchs are withdrawing assets from the country and taking their relatives out. And Ukraine’s leaders have long ago bought themselves foreign passports. And this is because, unlike the nationalists bent on war ideas with Russia, sensible people are well aware of the fact that no one is going to storm Ukrainian cities on foot. To complete the war, Russia would only need to use high-precision weapons and launch several massive strikes on key defence and infrastructure points.
In addition, many Western experts frankly admit that the AFU will simply be unable to counter either Russian aviation or missile strikes. Because Ukraine’s air defence system is not just in a dismal state, it simply does not exist. First Michael Coffman, a leading expert on the Russian military complex and director of the Russia Studies Program at CNA, the US Naval Research Institute, said that the war outlook for Ukraine is extremely negative. In his opinion “the most probable option is a large-scale military operation, which essentially involves a multi-axis attack aimed at destroying Ukraine’s military potential and forcing political agreements”.
According to another expert, “Russia also has long-range, high-precision missiles that can hit any Ukrainian facility while on Russian territory or in the Black Sea. Weapons such as the SS-26 [Iskander-M] ballistic operational-tactical missile system with a range of 250-350 km are probably already close to Ukraine. Russia could strike from even farther range using the land-based SSC-7 [9M728] cruise missile (400-500 km), the sea-launched SS-N-30A Kalibr cruise missile (1500+ km) or the X-555 or X-101 cruise missiles launched from strategic bombers (2000-4000 km). Against this strike force, Ukraine can only field air and air defence systems, which are limited in number, date back to the Soviet era and are deployed at a small number of sites. Russian air or missile strikes could quickly render them ineffective, even if they are not completely destroyed.”
As you can see, the prognosis for the AFU and for Ukraine as a whole is extremely sad. And these are said by people who are directly connected with western special services and therefore, unlike Ukrainian bloggers, can make a reasonable assessment of the situation. Seeing this, one can only wonder how persistently Ukrainian politicians are pushing the country into the abyss of war. A war that will end very quickly for Ukraine.
