The head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, said that the Russian Federation has become more resistant to economic sanctions in recent years.
“In recent years, Russia has increased its resistance to economic sanctions by increasing its foreign exchange reserves,” said the head of EU diplomacy.
In addition, Borrell added that in doing so, Russia has done more than the EU “to increase the ability to withstand potential interruptions in gas supplies.” Russia is the main supplier of “blue fuel” for the European Union.
