About 1,700 US military arrived in Poland

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that additional military forces had arrived in the country from the United States to “strengthen the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance.”

“We are consistently strengthening the security of Poland and the eastern flank of NATO. Soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division have just landed at Rzeszów Airport,” Blaszczak wrote on Twitter.

According to the minister, the US military will operate in the southeastern part of the republic, which is located near Ukraine. The head of the defense department stressed that this place attracts “not only the attention of Warsaw, but also the attention of the North Atlantic Alliance and the United States.”

“The immediate arrival of additional US forces is the best response to the threats facing NATO’s eastern flank. It also proves that allied obligations are taken very seriously,” he concluded.

Recently, Western media have been massively disseminating information that Moscow is allegedly preparing an “attack” on Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly denied such accusations. The Kremlin spokesman stressed that the Russian Federation moves troops exclusively on its territory and does not threaten anyone.
