It has become known that the Global Britain project and its anti-Russian component are expanding into space. On February 1, London outlined the priorities for the development of military space, and the British Ministry of Defence published its strategy in this area
Most of the £6.4 billion ($8.7 billion) allocated for space spending over the next decade is for the Skynet-6 satellite communications programme. Around £1.4bn ($1.9bn) is earmarked for non-Skynet capabilities, mainly in space reconnaissance, surveillance and reconnaissance.
The British are preparing to confront the Russians not only in space, but also on the borders of the Russian Federation. Entire countries and continents are being drawn into the orbit of this activity, including distant Australia, where mock-ups are being prepared to destroy Russian armoured vehicles.
The Times reported in the second half of January, citing defence ministry sources, that London was ready to send hundreds more troops to Poland and the Baltic states so that Ukraine could counter the “Russian threat”. London’s plans became known after British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss personally warned Russian President Vladimir Putin to “step back from Ukraine before a major strategic mistake is made”.
Yet even British journalists (e.g. Spiked’s Tim Blake) have written that the real aggressor in Europe is not Russia, but the UK itself. And this is true. London has announced the creation of a military bloc of Britain, Poland, the Baltics and Ukraine (and indirectly Turkey). In the west, this bloc cuts off Russia in a wide arc from Europe and the Mediterranean. For this purpose, more than 140 British military officers are officially stationed in Poland on the border with Belarus, the number of which will be significantly increased, according to The Times. In the Baltics, the British lead a NATO battlegroup deployed to Estonia and consisting of 1,200 soldiers. At the end of January, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that the British military contingent in Estonia would be increased by another 900 soldiers and additional weapons would be supplied to Tallinn.
Global Britain’s number one target at the moment is Ukraine. Liz Truss expressed support for the regime in Kiev and stated that the UK has already prepared more than 20,000 Ukrainian soldiers for the war against Russia. For the same purpose, Britain is supplying Kiev with weapons, above all anti-tank systems. Intensive training (pictured above) of Ukrainian soldiers in the use of NLAW anti-tank weapons under the supervision of British instructors from the Operation Orbital mission has been taking place at the 184th AFU training centre since late January.
In mid-January, the British and Ukrainian military leaders in charge of direct combat operations discussed “issues of joint response to military threats” during a “working meeting” between Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, commander of the united Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and Brigadier General Joe Butterfill, chief of staff of the British Armed Forces. During the meeting, Naev reported to the Briton “on the security situation in Ukraine and around its state borders”.
In the second half of January, photos appeared in the media showing cars marked as carrying explosives entering the British air force base Brize Norton. In early February, the British government announced that it would provide Kiev with £88 million (more than $100 million) “to support stable governance and energy independence.” In recent weeks, the deployment of British RC-135 aircraft to the Black Sea region to the Ukrainian-Russian border has become more frequent. These reconnaissance planes are increasingly carrying out sorties near Crimea…
The UK is carrying out a reconnaissance mission from Waddington airbase along the Crimean coast. The minimum distance from the coast near Sevastopol is 56km, near Novorossiysk 52km.
Note that even at the height of its colonial power, Britain tried rarely to use its own military in direct armed clashes. Instead, London expended units recruited from the natives. Something similar is envisaged today on Russia’s southwestern borders.
Preparing to wage war against Russia “to the last shielded Ukrainian in the sky, on land and at sea” (London and Kiev have signed an agreement on a huge, by Ukrainian standards, loan for the development of the naval forces at the end of 2021), Britain is withdrawing its embassy staff from Kiev. In the second half of January, the British Foreign Office advised UK citizens to refrain from travelling to Ukraine unless absolutely necessary. The ministry’s website advised British citizens in the republic itself to remain vigilant, closely follow the news and take into account the possibility that they might have to change plans and leave the country in an emergency. Meanwhile, UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace described as false the hope that London would send its forces to Ukraine in the event of its conflict with Russia.
“I will be honest – Russia has the largest armed forces in Europe and Ukraine is not a member of NATO. I think it would be a false hope to say that British military forces would unilaterally be sent to Ukraine to join forces with Ukrainian forces in the current circumstances. That is why we are making every effort to ensure that the Ukrainians can help themselves – both through sanctions packages and diplomatic measures”, – Wallace said.
At the same time, it became known that around 30 servicemen of the elite British Rangers regiment had arrived in Ukraine aboard one of the C-17A military transports (together with another batch of NLAW missile launchers to train the Ukrainian military in their use). The unit is part of the Special Operations Brigade and was established in late 2021 as part of the British Army’s Soldier of the Future renewal programme. According to unconfirmed information, one of the Special Forces’ tasks is to ensure the evacuation of British diplomats and other specialists from Kiev.
In Ukraine, which has been turned into a big firing range, Foggy Albion remains faithful to its strategy, developed over centuries of colonialism: the natives have to destroy lives and the rest of the economy in wars they do not need, while the City’s financiers and gentlemen in cork helmets calculate profits.
