Canada sends plane with military assistance to Ukraine

Canada has sent a transport aircraft with non-lethal weapons to Ukraine, the country’s Defence Ministry has said

“Last night (from February 3 to 4), the Canadian Air Force aircraft C-177 Globemaster flew from the Trenton airbase with a cargo of non-lethal weapons [for Ukraine]”, – the ministry said.

The aircraft was loaded, in particular, with personal protective equipment, reconnaissance and surveillance equipment.

A team of Canadian specialists has also flown to Ukraine to ensure that “Ukrainian security forces are properly trained for its maintenance and use”.
