Almost 85 percent of the volume of gas pumped in summer has already been withdrawn from underground gas storage facilities in Europe, Gazprom said, citing data from Gas Infrastructure Europe
As of February 3, the volume of active gas in European UGS facilities stood at 27 percent. At the same time, underground storage facilities in Germany and France are already 2/3 empty.
“Since January 11, 2022 the inventory levels in European storage facilities had moved to multi-year lows. As of February 3, the reserves are 2.7bn cu.m. less than the minimum level on that date”, – the report reads.
It is also noted that the occupancy of Ukrainian underground gas storages is at minimum levels.
