The United States continues to draw its forces closer to Russia’s borders. They are not only pumping weapons into Ukraine, but also strengthening their positions in Poland. An advanced group arrived there to deploy additional troops.
The Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blashak, spoke about this on his page on the social network Twitter, RIA Novosti reports.
“Preparations are underway to receive the main forces of the brigade combat group from the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. The advance group is already in Poland,” he said.
About 1,700 American troops are expected to arrive in the country. In addition, in the near future, a similar event awaits Romania and Germany: Pentagon spokesman John Kirby has already spoken about sending additional forces. Washington justifies its decision “by the need to support allies in the region.”
