The Kiev authorities from time to time recall Crimea and make statements about how they will “return” it. This time it was the turn of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov to speak.
He stated that Kiev does not intend to “reconquer” the peninsula. This is reported by the publication “Ukraine.ru”. According to Danilov, the regime is considering several strategies and is not going to abandon these plans (but rather dreams).
“For now, we have a strategy to return the Crimea. Which way, whether it will be a military way, some other way, depends on many factors. Today I can say that it is impossible to do this,” he said.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council also said that Kiev is ready to do everything necessary for the Donbass and Crimea to “return home.” The peninsula was able to defend itself by returning to Russia. But the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics have been fully feeling the care of the Ukrainian authorities for the eighth year already. But for some reason, they are not drawn to “home” yet.
