Russian Senator says US continues to escalate tension in Europe

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the deployment of the US military to Europe is direct evidence that Moscow has cause for concern.

“The United States de facto continues to escalate tensions in Europe,” Peskov said in a comment to CNN.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, the United States’ decision to deploy troops is “the best evidence that we, as Russia, have objective reasons to be concerned.”

As News Front previously reported, the Pentagon announced plans to transfer more than a thousand American troops from Germany to Romania, as well as about 2,000 troops from the United States to Poland and Germany.
