The Russian anti-aircraft missile system S-400 “Triumph” was redeployed to the territory of Belarus as part of the exercises of the reaction forces of the Union State, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
“The S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Eastern Military District, involved in checking the reaction forces of the Union State, has arrived in Belarus,” TASS reports.
It is noted that upon arrival at the training sites, the Russian crews of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system will take up air defense combat duty as part of a single regional air defense system of Belarus and Russia. In total, two divisions of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Eastern Military District will take part in the Russian-Belarusian exercises.
The joint exercises of Russia and Belarus “Allied Resolve – 2022” will be held from February 10 to 20. During the maneuvers, the military will work out the issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State. In addition, during the exercises, measures will be taken to strengthen the protection of the state border to prevent the penetration of armed groups of militants.
