Moscow will give a tough response to NATO’s anti-Russian propaganda in the Arctic
It has become known that the North Atlantic Alliance’s centre of excellence for strategic communications has planned to hire specialists to conduct an analysis of the influence of different countries in the Arctic.
It appears that Western analysts intend to study in detail the political values and rhetoric of the members of the Arctic Council, which has been chaired by Russia since 2021. Political analyst Alexei Mukhin expressed confidence that NATO intends to squeeze the Russian side in the Arctic region.
“NATO will try to distort Russia’s image in the Arctic. It should be taken into account that the bloc’s member states are directing their flows to ensure information confrontation in order to restrain Russia’s development. This new initiative should be perceived as a part of military action against Russia. It is an attempt to damage our country through malicious discrediting”, – the expert believes.
Russia should be ready for a new cycle of propaganda in the region in order to give a tough response at the right moment to the information throw-ups by NATO.
“This needs to be responded to. It is necessary to fight with images: quality counter-propaganda must be provided in response to propaganda from Western partners. You can’t fight with flowers against guns. Only guns work against guns. It is necessary not only to debunk myths, but also to reveal the whole chain of their emergence. It should be shown who exactly makes these decisions, for what purpose, what preferences they receive, and how the body of the world market is destroyed as a result. It should be made public”, – Mukhin concluded.
Moscow has the full tools to compete for influence in the Arctic. The global community is familiar with the usual method of destabilization of the region by the collective West, which will help Russia to effectively counteract the Alliance’s propaganda.
