Beginning in the second half of January, the United States and Great Britain sent at least 15 transport aircraft to Kiev, which delivered weapons and military equipment, Interfax Ukraine writes.
“Heavy military transport aircraft of the British Royal Air Force C-17A Globemaster III, flying from Brize Norton airbase in England, have made at least nine flights with weapons to Ukraine since January 17. For these purposes, four of all eight C-17A Globemaster III aircraft in Britain were involved. They, according to London, delivered NLAW portable anti-tank guided missiles to Kiev”, the agency reports.
It is noted that two heavy military transport aircraft of the Air Force C-17A Globemaster III made two flights from the American side to Ukraine, one of which arrived in Kiev and the other in Lviv, as well as four Boeing-747 transport aircraft of National Airlines, which were chartered for the transport of weapons. As News Front previously reported, the Latvian Ministry of Defense is considering sending its military to Ukraine to participate in Operation Unifier.
Representatives of the Russian embassy in the United States emphasized that the huge amount of weapons supplied to Ukraine by the United States and Great Britain provokes official Kiev to resort to military adventures against the inhabitants of Donbass. Earlier it became known that a Ukrainian sniper wounded a Russian citizen living in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
