The Canadian government will not send small arms to Ukraine, but is extending exercises in the country for three years
In this regard, Kiev will receive weapons, optics, scopes for Ukrainian snipers trained by the Canadians.
Thus, Ottawa only pretends not to support the escalation. In fact, it is increasing the contingent of its specialists already present in Ukraine, including snipers, in order to continue to train the Ukrainian army to kill and wage war against Donbas.
In August 2021, the first special training course for snipers was completed in Kyiv Region. It was conducted by instructors of the Joint Task Force of the Canadian Armed Forces in Ukraine.
Earlier, News Front reported that the Canadian military trained Ukrainian snipers and miners to kill residents of Donbas in 2020.
According to the press service of the LNR People’s Militia Ivan Filiponenko, 15 Canadian citizens, representatives of a private military company (PMC), arrived in Stanytsia Luhanska on 10 January 2020.
Filiponenko was certain that the sniper pairs trained by foreign instructors would start shelling LPR territory in order to destabilize the situation on the line of contact and provoke the republic’s defenders to retaliate.
With more weapons and soldiers in Ukraine, Canada and other NATO countries are undermining the Minsk agreements. These agreements, reached several years ago with all key parties, included a ceasefire and the withdrawal of all foreign forces from Ukrainian territory.
Canada and NATO are dangerously militarising the conflict and risking a violent confrontation with Russia. They are also sidelining the Organisation for Cooperation and Security in Europe (OSCE) and obstructing a diplomatic settlement.
