The British publication published an article that, although based on the comments of Ukrainian and pro-Western experts, still excludes the possibility of launching a full-scale offensive from Russia.
Experts find comfort in the fact that “at present, Russia does not have enough troops on the border with Ukraine to carry out a full-scale military invasion and occupation of the country.”
According to them, Russia currently lacks several elements for an invasion. Among them, the completion of the formation of battalion tactical groups, incl. tank and airborne, debugging and approbation of the wartime management system, deployment and staffing of mobile hospitals.
“If Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to launch a lightning strike on Kiev, the most direct route would be from Belarus,” but the area currently lacks sufficient troops and other military resources.
