Political scientist Kedmi suggested what was under the “quiet” response of the United States on security guarantees

The reaction of Russian representatives to the US response on security guarantees will reveal Washington’s motives, Israeli political scientist Yakov Kedmi spoke on the Soloviev LIVE YouTube channel.

As it became known, on Wednesday, January 26, Russia was given an official document containing the American side’s response to Moscow’s demands for NATO’s non-expansion to the east. The head of the State Department, Anthony Blinken of the United States, has set a requirement for non-disclosure of the contents of the documents.

It was not without reason that Washington decided to hide from the world community the content of the written response to Moscow. According to Israeli expert Yakov Kedmi, the United States potentially wants to leave NATO out of the discussion of the situation around Ukraine and Eastern Europe as a whole.

“Please do not publish hints at something. Maybe there are elements in the answer that the US does not want to disclose, in contrast to what they said, and there are completely different answers. We have already seen how they name what is beneficial to them, hiding some of the answers, which they are not inclined to disclose for domestic political reasons. If so, then it all depends on what is written there. I understand this: if Russia responds to the continuation of negotiations without disclosing topics, it means that there are closed topics, non-public ones that they try to discuss and not disclose at the request of the Americans before moving on to agreements. We’ll see,” the expert said.

The American side is demonstrating its usual method of conducting behind-the-scenes politics, leaving European partners without the opportunity to influence the Russia-NATO negotiations that are important for them. The White House contributes to the division of the collective West through the use of outdated methods of influence.
