The settlement of the Ukrainian crisis by Russia and the United States will not end in a war, PolitRussia reports.
As observers of the Chinese publication Baijiahao write, the negotiation process between Moscow and Washington on mutual security guarantees did not end with a compromise, but only escalated tension between the parties.
“However, judging by the large number of meetings held, it becomes clear that it is not difficult for the United States and Russia as a whole to resolve the crisis through negotiations,” the authors of the article say.
Difficulties in the negotiations, according to Chinese experts, arise from the desire of the American establishment to continue the political drama around the situation in Ukraine. However, despite the lack of clear prospects, one should not count on the worst outcome of events in the form of a large-scale military clash.
“Over time, the United States and the Russian Federation will get tired of pulling the “Ukrainian rope”. Then diplomatic mechanisms will come into play, based on a series of Russian-American talks already held. In the end, the crisis will be resolved through dialogue,” the experts conclude.
Russia managed to involve its American colleagues in responsible negotiations, during which the official position on many issues of each of the parties was covered. It is worth noting that mutual security guarantees could ensure peaceful coexistence for Eastern Europe, as Moscow has repeatedly stated.
