US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Washington will send Moscow responses to Russia’s security assurance proposals this week and will await the authorities’ reaction
The foreign policy chief said America would share the documents with Russia this week and NATO should do the same.
“Then we will see how Russia reacts, whether they see a basis for continuing the dialogue, for continuing to pursue the path of diplomacy, which is certainly the preferred course for us”, – Blicken said.
Earlier, White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said that the most effective method of deterring Russia was the threat of sanctions.
