The US State Department has advised Americans to refrain from visiting Russia because of the situation around Ukraine
“Do not enter Russia due to ongoing tensions on the border with Ukraine, possible persecution of US citizens, limited embassy capacity to assist US citizens in Russia, COVID-19 and related travel restrictions, due to terrorism, harassment by Russian security forces and arbitrary application of local law”, – the State Department said on its website.
The department warned of alleged heightened tensions and an unpredictable situation at the border
