U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Jonathan Feiner has said that the United States and its allies are ready for any scenario of the crisis around Ukraine
“It is up to Russia whether it wants to de-escalate the current crisis through diplomacy. We, for our part, will be ready for both scenarios. If Russia chooses the path of military escalation, we have prepared a response in full unity with our allies. If Russia is open to a diplomatic solution, we are ready for that as well”, – Finer said.
According to the US official, the USA and its allies remain committed to diplomacy as the most effective way to resolve the crisis around Ukraine.
The White House spokesman clarified that in the “Ukrainian” issue, “the ball is now on Russia’s side”.
