Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko, in an interview with the German newspaper Bild, called Germany’s refusal to supply weapons to Ukraine and its unwillingness to give up Nord Stream-2 a “betrayal”
According to him, Berlin not only refuses to provide Kiev with weapons, but also does not allow other states, in particular Estonia, to do so:
“This is a refusal to help and a betrayal of friends in a dramatic situation when our country is threatened by Russian troops from several borders!”, – says the Kiev mayor.
Germany argues its refusal to transfer weapons to Ukraine is based on the need to resolve the conflict in Donbas and prevent a Russian invasion through diplomacy.
Earlier, Federation Council member Andrey Klimov said that US military aid to Kiev resembles “pouring oil on the fire” of Ukraine’s civil war
