Commander-in-Chief of the German Navy resigns after words about Russian Crimea

The head of the German Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Kai-Achim Schönbach, is leaving his post, the reason was the words that Crimea would never return to Ukraine.

It is reported that German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht and Inspector General of the Bundeswehr Eberhard Zorn accepted the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

Recall, the head of the German Navy, Kai-Achim Schönbach, said that Crimea would never return to Ukraine. Schönbach called the belonging of Crimea to Russia a “fact”. According to him, the Crimean peninsula no longer exists for Ukraine, it will never return to its composition.
