First batch of military aid from U.S. arrives in Ukraine

The first batch of additional military aid to Ukraine from the United States has arrived in Kyiv, the US embassy said on Twitter.

“The first of several batches of an aid package recently adopted by [U.S. President Joe] Biden for Ukraine arrived in Kiev tonight. This cargo includes about 90 tons of lethal weapons, including ammunition for the defenders of Ukraine on the front line”.

The U.S. embassy noted that the sending of military aid to Ukraine supposedly demonstrates the strong commitment of the United States to strengthening the country’s defense capability against the backdrop of growing “aggression” from Russia. Earlier it was reported that Washington would transfer Russian-made Mi-17 military transport helicopters to Kiev.

It is noteworthy that not only the United States continues to actively sponsor the Kiev regime with a variety of weapons. As News Front previously reported, the Czech Defense Ministry offered to provide Ukraine with artillery shells with a caliber of 152 mm. Lithuania and Latvia are ready to provide Kiev with Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, and Estonia – Javelin anti-tank missiles.

In recent months, foreign media have been circulating reports that Russia is allegedly preparing an “attack” on the territory of Ukraine and is gathering troops to the borders. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stressed that Moscow is moving troops exclusively on its territory and such reports are “empty and unfounded escalation of tension.”
