Ex-US Ambassador proposed to exclude the Russian Federation and Belarus from the OSCE

Former United States Ambassador to the OSCE James Gilmore, in an interview with Foreign Policy magazine, called for the exclusion of the Russian Federation and Belarus from this organization for “aggression” against Ukraine.

“Measures should be taken to exclude Russia from all international organizations, starting with the OSCE. The OSCE supports the principles of the Helsinki Accords, among them the principle that no country will attack another across recognized borders”, EurAsia Daily quotes Gilmour.

In addition, the former US ambassador said that the North Atlantic Alliance should accept into its ranks Sweden and Finland, which, according to him, are ready to give up their neutrality and become members of NATO.

In recent months, the Western media have repeatedly announced a possible Russian “invasion” of Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stressed that Moscow is moving troops exclusively on its territory and such reports are “empty and unfounded escalation of tension.”
