Wholesale gas prices in Europe continued to rise strongly in the third quarter. The EU’s gas import bill rose more than fivefold to €40bn in the third quarter.
“Spot contracts rose from €37 per MWh to €85 per MWh, such highs at European hubs were almost non-existent before. After the third quarter of 2021, their price has risen to over €100 per MWh”, – the report said
