UK sends thousands of ammunition to Ukraine

The United Kingdom has sent several thousand anti-tank guided missiles to Ukraine, British Deputy Defense Secretary James Hippie said, TASS reports.

“We have sent thousands of anti-tank guided missiles to the Ukrainian armed forces […] Moscow must understand that this [invasion] will not be bloodless, it will not be [for Russia] an easy walk in the park,” he said in an interview with LBC radio station.

Earlier, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that London would continue to support Ukraine, but under no circumstances would it send the British military to defend Kiev.

In turn, Canada sent a detachment of special forces to Ukraine, which will develop plans for the evacuation of Canadian diplomatic personnel in the event of a full-scale “invasion” by Russia, which is reported by Western media.

In recent months, foreign media have repeatedly published reports of a possible Russian “invasion” of Ukrainian territory. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stressed that Moscow is moving troops exclusively on its territory and such reports are “empty and unfounded escalation of tension.”
