Court arrests property of Poroshenko and his wife

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksiy Goncharenko said that the court decided to seize the property of ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his wife Marina Poroshenko.

“To satisfy the prosecutor’s petition to seize the property,” the court order says, Goncharenko said on his Telegram channel.

As News Front previously reported, the Kiev Pechersk Court ruled that a personal obligation would be sufficient as a preventive measure for Poroshenko. According to political scientist Ruslan Bortnik, the diplomatic full house in Ukraine prevented the ex-president of the country from being given a tougher measure of restraint.

Recall that Poroshenko returned on January 17 from his foreign tour. After arriving in Ukraine, the ex-president himself appeared in court to choose a preventive measure, but the meeting was postponed to January 19.
