Russia and Belarus are ready to fully use their military potential for the sake of security

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said that Moscow and Minsk are ready to use the entire military potential of the two states for the sake of guaranteed security, RIA Novosti writes.

“A situation may arise when the forces and means of the Regional Group will not be enough to guarantee the security of the Union State, and we must be ready to strengthen it,” Fomin said during a briefing.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced that Moscow and Minsk would hold joint exercises “Allied Resolve – 2022” from February 10 to 20, 2022.

It is expected that the Russian and Belarusian troops will work out the tasks of curbing external aggression and combating terrorism. In particular, during the maneuvers, the strengthening of sections of the border on possible directions of illegal penetration of militants into the territory of Belarus and the blocking of channels for the delivery of weapons and ammunition will be worked out.
