Virginia is a role model

The inauguration of Virginia’s newly minted governor, Glenn Youngkin, took place in Richmond

His campaign, coupled with the gubernatorial run that has begun, is becoming an example for Republicans of how they can win in the age of Bidenism.

What sets Youngkin apart from other Republicans is that he is a neophyte candidate who at the same time managed to win an election in a liberal state where the executive branch has long been controlled by Democrats alone. That is why he is being closely watched by political technologists across America.

Immediately after his inauguration, Youngkin signed a slew of executive orders. He banned the teaching of the scandalous “critical race theory” in schools. And he ordered schools to take parental opinions into account when drawing up curricula, which became one of the main topics of the election. Democrats, under pressure from teachers’ unions, strongly opposed parental rights, even calling them a manifestation of “white supremacy”.

A public enquiry into the incident will be launched in Loudon County, which has become “notorious” for the “transgender” rape scandal of a schoolgirl in the girls’ toilets. It is known that the school tried to hush up this “uncomfortable” story – the “transgender person” was kept out of jail for a long time, while the indignant father of the victim was arrested right at the parents’ meeting.

Also, Youngkin has decided to support Virginia’s hydrocarbon and coal industry amid an energy crisis. It will undergo deregulation. And Virginia itself will withdraw from an alliance of America’s northeastern states that is cutting carbon emissions.

And at the state attorney’s office level, a major reform is being prepared that will allow it to prosecute those criminals whom the county’s liberal prosecutors do not want to touch on the pretext of “social justice”. These flawed practices have led to a dramatic rise in crime in the US – the number of murders alone has jumped 40% in the last two years.

Youngkin’s recipe for success is that he was a fresh face in politics, without the burden of past scandals. And he has not been afraid to openly engage in the culture war – criticising the “racial theory”, the demolition of monuments and the “liberalisation” of justice. The approval ratings of the Democrats continue to plummet against the backdrop of public rejection of the agenda – so there will be many more to follow in the footsteps of Youngkin this year.
