Two explosions hit central Baghdad

Two explosions have occurred in the Karrada area of central Baghdad. 

According to a source, an explosive device planted on the side of the road near Jihan Bank in Al-Watik Square was detonated on the evening of January 16. As a result, serious damage was caused to the window of the bank and a parked car was damaged.

The second explosion took place shortly after the first. This time the device was planted near the National Theatre. The explosion caused damage to storefronts. No human casualties have been reported so far.

Two people are reported to have been injured in the blast. They sustained minor injuries.
