The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the certification procedure for the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline must be carried out in strict accordance with existing regulations, and Russia intends to strictly comply with them
The ministry believes that the launch of NSP2 will make a significant contribution to the energy security of the entire European Union and contribute to lowering gas prices.
“The certification of the pipeline by the German regulators and the European Commission must not be artificially delayed and politicised. It has to be carried out in strict compliance with the existing norms, which we intend to strictly observe”, – the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Earlier it became known when Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline may be launched.
