German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock will meet tomorrow with his counterpart – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov
An article in the German publication Bild says Lavrov is feared by many on the diplomatic scene. For example, in 2019 he “exchanged blows” with former German Foreign Minister Berbock, Heiko Maas, on the open stage and last year he “defiantly humiliated” European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.
The authors of the article believe that Berbock is still “green in politics” and is not ripe for a meeting with such a professional as Lavrov.
