The press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, said that the tension on the border with Ukraine is now too high, therefore Russia insists on receiving a direct answer to its proposals for security guarantees.
The Kremlin wants a “very specific response to its very specific proposals.”
“We have too high tension on the border. Too much tension in this part of Europe. This situation is “extremely dangerous for our continent,” Peskov stressed.
It is for this reason that Russia is waiting for a “direct response” to its concerns, a Kremlin spokesman said.
Peskov also noted that the United States has not provided any evidence for its claim that Russia is allegedly “planning an escalation around Ukraine.”
“We are still waiting for evidence,” he said.
Peskov stated that one has to live “in the world of fake accusations, fake news, in the world of lies.”
