Foreign MInister of Ukraine says Washington’s military assistance cannot solve Ukraine’s main problem

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko said that $200 million in military assistance from the United States cannot solve Kiev’s main defense problems.

“Many security specialists point out that although this assistance is significant, it is provided for areas that do not solve a purely military problem,” the politician said in an interview with 112 Ukraine journalists.

According to him, the air defense of Ukraine has a serious gap and the military will not be able to give a proportionate response to a possible attack by aviation. Assistance from the United States is important, but it is limited in terms of directions and does not create a fundamental change in the paradigm, Grishchenko added.

Earlier it became known that the administration of US President Joe Biden in December secretly approved the expansion of military assistance to Ukraine by $200 million.
