The United States risks running into a Russian response to NATO’s approach to its borders. The deployment of NATO forces in Ukraine could be its fatal mistake.
Political scientist Nikita Danyuk is sure of this, the political magazine PolitExpert reports. On the air of Channel One, he drew attention to the fact that Washington’s military plans for Ukrainian territory would force Moscow to respond.
“Okay, you are not ready to give us guarantees, but try to create a real NATO military infrastructure there, knowing our military potential. And then we’ll see who will take whom weakly”, said Bortnik.
He believes that Russia has every right to a tough response if NATO’s actions pose a threat to the state. The United States refuses to accept Russian projects on security guarantees. And in this case, the Russian side should take care of itself.
