Police crack down on high school blockade in Paris

A national education strike has been launched in France against anti-coercive health measures

French police are cracking down on a blockade of secondary schools in Paris, using stun guns and tear gas canisters against high school students, despite the fact that they are children.

At the call of the schoolteachers’ unions, parents’ associations and health workers in France, half of the classes in primary schools have been closed.

Almost 75% of teachers have decided not to go to work to protest against increasingly difficult working conditions during the pandemic, meaningless and complicated health protocols that change every month.
