US conditions for Russia to reopen NATO-Russia Council unacceptable to Russia

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that America wants to resume the work of the Russia-NATO Council on terms unacceptable to Russia: on the agenda that suits the US, with an emphasis on the so-called “de-escalation of Russian aggression” in Ukraine

In his turn, Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov also commented on the situation.

“Predictable scenario of US behavior: negotiate not so much about security guarantees for Russia, but turn them in their own direction and try to impose their own agenda on us. It is all recognisable. It looks very much like the negotiations in the second half of the 1990s around the first NATO expansion which was being prepared”, –  the politician wrote in his Telegram channel.

On the eve of the negotiations, political analyst Korotchenko said that the US side would refuse to compromise and would not accept Russia’s demands for security guarantees – Washington is absolutely not ready to listen to its opponents.
