Russian Foreign Ministry claims that West is jealous of how effectively the CSTO worked in Kazakhstan

The countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) responded promptly and effectively to the crisis in Kazakhstan and did not allow the situation to get out of control.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to Western comments on the work of the peacekeepers. It is reported by Izvestia.

In the United States, the introduction of peacekeeping forces into the territory of Kazakhstan was called illegitimate. Zakharova is sure that such statements are dictated by anger and envy – Washington or Brussels are not able to respond as quickly, and most importantly productively, to a crisis situation.

“Well, this, of course, is annoying, I can very much understand this, because all the operations of the Western world that were carried out led to the opposite, led to failure, given what they did to Afghanistan, and how they fell out of there”, – said the diplomat.

Zakharova also noted that the work of the CSTO peacekeepers can only be compared with the work of a doctor of the highest category. They immediately found the source of the problem and were able to eliminate it. Thus, they saved Kazakhstan about the fate of the same Ukraine, which after the “revolution of hydrology” plunged into a deep crisis and practically lost its statehood.
