Fast and effective: Russia is ready for a tough NATO response

Russia has shown the West its readiness to act on the example of Kazakhstan, reports FBA “Economics Today”.

Another attempt by the West to destabilize the situation in the post-Soviet space by means of a color revolution in Kazakhstan failed because of the rapid reaction of the CSTO forces with the direct participation of the Russian Federation. The Western establishment failed the coup d’état attempt in the republic, demonstrating that the past experience had not been learned. This opinion was expressed by political scientist Yakov Kedmi.

“When a couple of years ago they were told that the main priority of Russia is the post-Soviet space, they did not take it seriously. Karabakh did not teach them anything – Russia was unexpectedly serious and effective. Belarus did not teach them anything – and the problem of its protection from the “explosion” was solved very quickly and efficiently. And now the attempt to destabilize Kazakhstan has been suppressed, again effectively and quickly”, the expert says.

According to the expert, Western colleagues continue to make attempts to destabilize the position of the Russian Federation by attacking the closest neighbors and allies, following the example of Ukraine. Military experts from foreign departments predict fictitious scenarios of an armed clash with Russia, which, against the background of a dangerous situation with NATO’s eastward expansion, may lead to a tough response.

“Russia wants to use at least some chances to solve the problem politically without the use of force. If you fail, you will have to use force – this is what your president said, this is what was said in Geneva. But Russia gives a chance to solve the problem politically, even if it is small. Their consent to negotiations shows that they understand something, but not completely. If their degree of understanding is lower than Russia demands, Moscow will move on to a different answer, and this will be done quickly, efficiently and unexpectedly. Not where they are expected, and not the way they expect”, Kedmi said.

The negotiation process between Russia and the United States on the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance to the east is still open, despite the public statement of the State Department official about the refusal from Moscow’s demands for the inclusion of Georgia and Ukraine in NATO.

Earlier News Front talked about what the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko expects from the meeting with NATO.
