Conversation from a position of strength: Russia put the United States in its place in Geneva

The talks on security in Geneva stumped Washington, PolitRussia reports.

The last 30 years of the history of relations between Russia and the United States have been marked by the aggressive policy of the White House towards the interests and demands of Moscow around the world. Numerous rash sanctions from Washington and Brussels have led to the destabilization of the economies of almost all countries of the European community. The Russian-American talks in Geneva on security guarantees demonstrated to the United States that its threats and attacks have not been forgotten. This opinion was shared by Chinese experts from Sohu.

“The talks between Russia and the United States in Geneva are like a duel of masters in a geopolitical chess game. Its results will have a direct impact on the future situation in Eastern Europe”, the newspaper writes.

Chinese experts believe that Russia has managed to become stronger over a long period of time under the pressure of the collective West. The current situation with the issue of the expansion of the Alliance to the east implies the inclusion of Kiev into the militarized NATO bloc. The Russian side does not intend to put up with such a potential threat, so the Russian diplomats conducted the negotiation process in Geneva from a position of strength.

“Russia changed the world by coping with all the tests. She showed the countries that were previously afraid of the United States and followed their lead that Washington does not always achieve the desired victory”, Chinese analysts write.

At the negotiating table, the American representatives were clearly explained what consequences await the Western world in case of violation of the red lines of the Russian Federation. Today, the United States is deprived of the opportunity to influence the world community outside the negotiation process with Russia.

“The world saw a confused United States. They do not have many resources left to squander them for enmity with such great powers as Russia or China. The US is inseparable from the negotiating table, as it no longer has enough power to impose its hegemony”, sums up Sohu.
