History shows that the most successful US leaders are those who abandoned the use of force in Central and Eastern Europe because they managed to avoid a war with Russia. This opinion was expressed by the expert of the American magazine The American Conservative Patrick Buchanan.
“The United States must do everything possible to avoid a war with Russia, especially if we want her to be on our side in the protracted confrontation between the West and China,” the publicist said.
Buchanan recalled the Cold War period when US President Dwight D. Eisenhower abandoned military intervention in favor of the “Hungarian uprising.” In 1968, Lyndon Johnson did not intervene in the events of the Prague Spring, and Ronald Reagan was “inactive” in 1981 during the crackdown on Solidarity unions in Poland.
“That is why Joe Biden made the right decision, excluding the possibility of military action in the event of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” the expert summed up.
