The Russian delegation during talks with the United States does not intend to deviate from the approaches it formed earlier
Sergei Ryabkov, deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said so, PolitEkspert political magazine reports. He is the one leading Russia’s representatives at the talks in Geneva.
Ryabkov stressed that the Russian side had formed clear theses. Therefore, the Americans should prepare for compromises. The diplomat noted that there can be no deviations from the conditions put forward by Moscow.
The talks between Russia and the US on security guarantees will take place in the evening of January 10th in Geneva. It is worth noting that the delegations have already met over dinner. Ryabkov admitted that the conversation was difficult, but went in a businesslike format.
