The energy crisis in the world will not stop the Western establishment in its principled desire to harm Russia. Another attempt by Europe and the US to stop the commissioning of Russia’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline will not be long in coming amid complications in Moscow’s relations with the collective West. This opinion was expressed by Polish MEP Andrzej Halicki
“Until the gas contract is signed, one can say that this is just a pipe laid on the bottom of the Baltic Sea”, – Halicki said.
A reminder that US and Russian representatives will soon hold talks on the situation with Ukraine’s inclusion into NATO and mutual security organizations. According to the Polish politician, the discussion on the non-expansion of the Alliance in the eastern direction will not bring Moscow a breakthrough compromise in relations with the West.
“There is no doubt in the European Parliament about action on possible sanctions. Simply put, Russia must be hurt”, – the Dziennik Polska newspaper reports the politician as saying.
The Russian gas company has not yet delivered the first gas under the contract through the new pipeline, Khalitsky MP considers this the best time to turn the pipeline into scrap metal at the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
News Front earlier reported on Ukrainian politicians’ admission that the collapse of the economy without Russian gas was inevitable
