NATO chief Stoltenberg calls for full dialogue with Russia

The North Atlantic Alliance has begun to understand that a dialogue with Russia is necessary. Now there is a good opportunity to establish contact and, finally, to resolve all differences

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. He believes that the negotiations on security guarantees, which will take place this week, will be a good foundation for relations between Russia and Europe.

Stoltenberg does not believe that these meetings will solve all problems, but they can be the beginning of a process. He stressed that now all sides must do their best to prevent an armed conflict in Europe.

Russia and the US will meet today in Geneva in the format of strategic dialogue at the level of representatives of the Foreign Ministries. Talks between Russia and representatives of the military bloc are scheduled for January 12. A day later the Russians are to hold a dialogue with the OSCE.
