Deputy official representative of the German government Christiane Hofmann said that the conflict in Donbass should not be solved by military means
Earlier, Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk demanded that Berlin sell defensive weapons to Kiev. According to him, the FRG is allegedly “morally responsible for the fate of Ukraine.
“The government believes that the conflict there [in Donbass] can be solved politically and diplomatically, not by military methods”, – Hoffmann said, commenting on Melnik’s words.
Bundestag MP Stefan Kuyter of the Alternative for Germany party also said that Berlin would not transfer weapons to Ukraine and provoke a regional conflict.
