Canadian Foreign Ministry admits sending weapons to Ukraine

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly has said that Ottawa may send weapons to Ukraine if Russia continues “pulling troops” to the borders

“The most important thing now is to cooperate with the Ukrainians about confronting threats to their security. That is exactly what we will do. My colleague Anita Anand, Minister of Defence, is actively engaged in this together with her allies. The security of Ukraine is the security of Europe, therefore it is the security of the world and of Canada”, –  Joly said in an interview with CTV News.

In recent months, Western media have repeatedly claimed that Russia is concentrating its military on Ukraine’s borders. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov stressed that Moscow was moving Russian troops exclusively on its territory and was not threatening anyone.

German deputy government spokeswoman Christiane Hofmann called on Ukraine to resolve internal conflicts politically and diplomatically.
