Blinken: Intermediate-range and shorter-range missile agreements with Russia can be restored

 

The United States and Russia could reestablish agreements with Russia on the deployment of intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles in Europe, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in an interview with ABC television on Sunday. “We’ve had agreements in the past that resolved concerns on both sides, such as the deployment of intermediate-range and shorter-range nuclear missiles in Europe. We had an agreement <…> the previous [US] administration withdrew from it. There are reasons to renew it”, –  he said.
