The American edition of The New York Times has published an article with a map of the possible location of Russian troops near the border with Ukraine
According to the authors of the article, Michael Schwirtz and Scott Reinhardt, Russian troops “threaten to escalate the conflict with Ukraine and potentially open a new front”. The article says that the military allegedly surrounds Ukraine from three sides.
Thus, the map shows ten alleged accumulations of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border. Almost all of them, according to the NYT, include artillery, heavy equipment and tanks.
The authors specify that the material was compiled on the basis of information from Ukrainian and Western officials, as well as independent military analysts and satellite images.
The publication and the authors of the article do not explain when and how exactly Russia “plans to invade a neighbouring state”, but according to their information the Kremlin is allegedly now “on its way to obtaining everything necessary to launch the operation”.
