Belarusian military personnel from the CSTO start protecting Kazakhstan’s facilities

Defense Ministry of Belarus confirmed that the Belarusian military, as part of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, proceeded with the protection of important military infrastructure in Kazakhstan

“The military contingent of the peacekeeping forces of Belarus has been assigned to protect a number of important military infrastructure facilities in Kazakhstan”, –  reads the statement of the Defense Ministry press service.

The Ministry stressed that servicemen of the CSTO peacekeeping forces are not involved in the current operational and military actions for enforcing the law and order in Kazakhstan.

“Our servicemen continue to carry out their tasks as planned by the CSTO. No abnormal situations have been registered”, –  the Ministry of Defence added.
