Foreign interference in the internal affairs of Kazakhstan lies in the plane of the general trend of pressure on Russia through attempts to destabilize the situation in the countries along its perimeter, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
“Kazakhstan is an attempt to attack the post-Soviet states along the perimeter of Russia. They need to drown Russia in blood. I repeat once again: if Russia collapses, then we will not even notice where we will be. They will simply step over us […] Therefore, whatever the cost, we need to preserve the center of our civilization, the center of our Orthodoxy and not only”, Lukashenko said during his visit to the church in Minsk on Christmas Day, BelTA informs.
According to the Belarusian leader, the foreign bandits took advantage of the general tension and “rushed first of all to the prosperous south”. Lukashenko is confident that the protests in Kazakhstan are an attempt at foreign interference in the internal affairs of the republic.
“There is a confrontation. I suspect that things are already on the decline there. Because sending our contingent there together with Russia, other CSTO states will also join, it still has a sobering effect on those who decided to warm their hands there”, Lukashenko summed up.
As previously reported by News Front, nine Il-76 aircraft with Russian paratroopers landed at the Alma-Ata airfield in accordance with the decision of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to send a peacekeeping contingent to Kazakhstan.
