Former US State Department official and former adviser to US leader Ronald Reagan Suzanne Massie said that her compatriots know little about Russia and its historical path, she told REN TV
According to Massey, people in the US didn’t want war and didn’t talk about hate, they were just very curious.
“And I’ve never heard a single time that they wanted war or hated. They’re just curious, very curious <…> everybody knows I wrote a book about you, everybody absolutely thinks we need you and you need us”, – the former Reagan adviser said.
Massey is going to tell Americans about the major milestones of Russian history in her book.
“It’s a compliment, they think I can explain… Sometimes I think I have a little talent – I can explain. Russia in America can’t be understood”, – Massey added.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin granted Massey Russian citizenship.
